Announcements
If you weren’t at Lightning in a Bottle this past weekend, wyd with your life? Jk, I wasn’t there either. Nevertheless, TR family and friends popped out for a good time. ICYMI (like I did), you can now catch Canary Yellow’s set on Youtube →
This month, our very own RamonPang sat down with Drew Daniels of Matmos to look back on a brief history of IDM. We’re hyped on this one. Essential reading if you’re invested in the roots of what we’re doing here at Tabula Rasa—don’t miss it (and other fantastic articles over at Inscripta) →
Releases
Tabula Rasa is very proud to present “Obsession” by SMH. SMH is an electropop band. The letters stand for their names as well as their general sentiment about things. They pay tribute to the PC music canon and, with fear, trembling, and reverence, embrace this brave new post-Addison (Rae) world.
Canary Yellow - "Groove Particle" (out today)
“Groove Particle” is out today, everywhere. Releasing off the back of Canary Yellow’s recent sets at LiB with Player Dave and Villager for the Daisy Chain takeover, and support for Jacques Greene in Denver. “Groove Particle” is a percussive, momentum-driven track built to pull you forward. Focused, physical, and full of motion. It’s high-energy and intricately designed, with swinging, pulsing basslines, crisp drums, and tight vocal stabs.
TR Staff Picks: Tabula Rasa Records - Altrove (2024)
Altrove is a path to 'Elsewhere,' where quiet moments in the embrace of nature provide a sanctuary from the chaos of modern life. Our community ambient compilation, inspired by the oases of nature in the city. Take a moment to listen.
